Overview

Shacked ("we", "us") is a surf forecasting app available at shacked.surf. We take your privacy seriously and collect only what is necessary to provide the service.

Information We Collect

Account information: If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and profile photo. We store your email to send swell alert notifications.

Usage data: We store your saved spots, swell alert preferences, and profile photo if you upload one.

Location: If you use "Near Me", your location is used only to sort nearby spots and is never stored or transmitted to our servers.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide surf forecasts and personalised features
• To send swell alert emails when you have alerts enabled
• To sync your saved spots across devices

Third-Party Services

Supabase: We use Supabase for authentication and database storage. Your data is stored on Supabase's servers.

Google OAuth: Sign-in is handled by Google. We receive only your email and profile photo.

Open-Meteo: Wave and weather data is fetched from Open-Meteo's public API. No personal data is shared with them.

Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
